I am NOT condoning what the kid did, but with the heavy news coverage and with the governor himself on the tv screen addressing the whole thing, and with the huge "look what THIS MONSTER DID" enotion all over the tv, you wonder if the kil will get a fair trial...we will soon see....Since nobody died, now there is a question if he will get a fair trial. I decide to do a speech on bullying, harassment, namecalling, pasive aggression, gossip and other evils that push kids into doing these things and causes them to commit suicide. We have no word on the kid's side of the story yet...but we will see. Since we dont know yet if the kid will say to the court that he was bullied, picked on or harassed, i still think it is a good idea to addres harassment and all those other nasty things kids do and so i can warn kids that if they feel they are being harassed and feel people are deliberately trying to push them into doing something violent, they should do whatever they can to escape...leave the school, leave the town, threaten a lawsuit...do anything but DO NOT FALL into this trap. If any kids did anything to egg this kid on, or if they caused the kid to emotionally snap..and if any evidence of such behavior is discovered...it is my opinion that the harasser or harassers should be procecuted as if they themselves did the stabbing, it should be dealy with in the same way as if they gave a person a gun that a shooter did a shooting.
